Frank J. Keane
Chief Operating Officer
Frank Keane has been involved in the areas of medical litigation and medical reimbursement his entire career.
Frank began his journey in the healthcare industry working in the Medical Records Department of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center from 1998 to 2005, while completing his studies at Archbishop Molloy High School and St. John’s University.
In 2006, while attending Hofstra University Law School, Frank began working for Baker Sanders Barshay Grossman Fass Muhlstock & Neuwirth, a prominent law firm serving the medical community, and accident and workers compensation victims. He eventually rose to the role of Compliance Manager, responsible for all medical billing related issues, and managing the day to day activities of the firm’s paralegals.
In 2013, in response to an overwhelming need by the firm’s medical provider clients for an expert to advise them on proper billing rates for insurance reimbursement, Frank completed coursework through the American Academy of Professional Coders, and obtained his license as a Certified Professional Coder.
Frank has been instrumental in obtaining higher settlements and trial wins, successfully writing and testifying in cases where reimbursement was reduced, or completely denied based on alleged billing deficiencies. His medical billing expertise has allowed clients to maximize their accounts receivables and accurately bill in accordance with applicable fee schedules.
Frank has been a guest lecturer at medical conferences and continues to be on the forefront of the ever-changing landscape of medical billing
